All stress relieving and/or heat treating work is accepted by Seattle Boiler Works, Inc. subject to the following conditions:
Seattle Boiler Works, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “the Stress Reliever”) warrants that the work will be done in a good and workmanlike manner. However, it is expressly understood and agreed that the Stress Reliever’s maximum liability for any breach of that warranty will be the amount of the Stress Reliever’s total charges for the work.
It shall be the obligation of the customer to inform the Stress Reliever if the treatment of the customer’s materials requires any special attention. In the absence of any such special instructions, all materials will be stress relieved at the normal 1100deg F. to 1200deg F. range.
The customer is responsible for correctly identifying the materials being stress relieved, for verifying that the material will safely withstand the oven temperature, and that the material is ready for stress relieving without any additional work or concern by the Stress Reliever. Additional special material handling, support, or venting work must be mutually agreed upon by the Stress Reliever and customer when order is placed and accepted.
It is the sole responsibility of the customer to inspect the treated material and/or heat chart immediately upon receipt. Any concerns relating to the stress relief work must be reported to the Stress Reliever before machining, processing, assembly, or any other work is done on the treated material.
